Designing your own vinyl banner is not at all difficult. With a small experience in graphic designing you can easily make your own vinyl banner. And if you don’t have it at all your dealer can help you out with this, maybe on a little charge.

They are very much cost efficient and mainly used for promotion of events, various announcements to be made or even advertising a product. Vinyl banners are durable enough to be placed outside and charming enough to be placed inside. It just increases the excitement and the ambience of the event.

Things to look at when you plan to design a banner…

  1.  Use good software. You can use any of the three softwares:
  2. Page layout programs (e.g. Pagemaker, InDesign or Quarkxpress)
  3. Image editors (e.g., PhotoPaint, PhotoImpact)
  4. Illustration programs (e.g. CorelDraw)

These softwares possess CMYK full production.

And frankly speaking, office programs used in offices are not recommended as they are not much handy in working with images. For e.g. Publisher, Word, Excel etc.

  1.  Always calculate the size. Never assume the size and print your vinyl banner. Most of the peoples make a mistake in calculating the size.
  2. Use attractive colours and catchy lines. A catchy banner uses plenty of brilliant colours.
  3. Make your images with proper resolution. A poor image on banners makes it look unattractive. But do not use very high resolution pictures. They will only increase your costs.
  4. You should always design your banner in such a way that people can make out what you have to say. And ensure that it is readable from a distance. Keep the important lines in a large size.
  5. Always use a prominent design. Use identifiers like company logo or photograph.

You can get a lot of free help online if you want to design your Vinyl banners yourself but it would be definitely better if you could afford a professional in designing the banner for you.
